Following a local consultation, Melksham’s multi-million pound development which will provide a host of accessible services has been named Melksham Community Campus.
The Melksham Community Operations Board consulted with a range of local community groups, schools and organisations with more than 600 people providing feedback and helping decide the name and logo of the campus. The name Melksham Community Campus was preferred to the other option, Melksham House Community Campus.
The name and logo of the campus were confirmed at Melksham Area Board on 15 April where the results of the consultation were discussed.
Following a recent change to the timetable, work on Melksham Community Campus on the Melksham House site, will start in July 2016 with completion expected in late 2017.
Wiltshire Council is investing nearly £80 million in local communities so they can enjoy modern and accessible facilities and services.
